Volkswagen has released a teaser image of its Microbus concept, scheduled to be revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next month.

The image of the VW CES concept reveals that it will have LED daytime running lights and headlights, an LED-infused grille, an illuminated VW logo and a relatively flat hood.

While no major details have been disclosed yet, the CES concept is expected to showcase a new electric powertrain which will reportedly use the VW Group's latest lithium-ion battery technology and is expected to provide a range of around 400-500km. The production version is likely to offer buyers the choice of multiple engines including turbocharged four-cylinder petrol and diesel options. Apart from revealing the concept car, Volkswagen will also highlight other autonomous connectivity technologies.
