New Nissan Sport Sedan concept teased

The Nissan Sport Sedan concept will be unveiled at this month's Detroit motor show, with its makers saying it "previews a new energetic design direction that amplifies Nissan's legendary approach of applying sports car principles to a sedan."

The teaser image released at the same time of the announcement gives clues as to how the production car will look, and speculation suggests the car will offer an exaggerated view of how the next generation Nissan Maxima will appear.

The current generation Nissan Maxima is built in Tennessee, USA and is on sale since 2008. It shares much of its architecture with the current Nissan Murano SUV and is due for replacement around 2015.

However, although the Maxima isn't sold in India, the concept is still relevant as it is likely to influence other future Nissan designs.

In addition, Nissan announced it will show its two radical sports car concepts that were first unveiled at the Tokyo motor show 2013, the Nissan IDx Freeflow and Nissan IDx Nismo.
