Former Aston Martin design chief and Fisker Automotive founder Henrik Fisker have teamed up with US-based automotive firm Galpin Auto Sports to produce a new model. The car has been titled Rocket and will be shown at the Los Angeles motor show.
Although not much details have been revealed, we found out that Fisker and Galpin have told the media that the car is aimed to be positioned as the "ultimate American muscle car". No further details of the car will be revealed ahead of its LA show debut.
Fisker had been underground since he resigned from his company early last year. He was responsible for bringing the Karma luxury plug-in hybrid into production, but because of financial problems, it was discontinued.
Galpin Auto Sports is an offshoot of the Galpin Motors dealership group, which has the world’s largest Ford franchise. Galpin Auto Sports offers “customising and personalising services on all the new and pre-owned vehicles including collector and classic cars”, the firm says in its mission statement. It also creates some bespoke models, such as the 1110bhp Ford GT-based Galpin Ford GTR1 supercar.
