Mercedes-Benz to demonstrate 'Safe Roads' at APS 2015

After successfully launching in Delhi this April, Mercedes-Benz, along with its Indian subsidiaries, namely Daimler India Commercial Vehicles(DICV), Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) and Daimler Financial Services India (DFS), will host the Mumbai leg of its ‘Safe Roads’ CSR initiative at the Autocar Performance Show on October 29, 2015.

The unique initiative is aimed at reducing the high rate of road-accident fatalities in the country, which is around 1,40,000 casualties annually, by spreading awareness via means of physical demonstration, visual aids and research reports. The demonstrations enable visitors to experience the impact of car safety equipment like seatbelts and airbags. It also illustrates the working of Mercedes-Benz’s safety features such as Pre-Safe, auxiliary braking system and interactive vehicle communication.

The safety drive has already covered Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, and now after Mumbai it will head to Chennai and Bengaluru in November.
