Hyundai banks on discounts to rake up sales

The new Hyndai Santa Fe is being offered with a discount as well as other freebies.

Hyundai recently annoucned its 'Mega March offer' for its cars that will give its new customers attractive offers and a chance to win an all expense paid to Brazil for the FIFA world cup. During the offer, which will last till March 16, Hyundai customers will get free accessories depending on the car they purchase. 
 
With the automobile industry in pretty much of a lull throughout the year, manufacturers are offering attractive discounts to rake up their sales figures for the year before the financial year comes to an end. 
 
Hyundai's cars, during this period, will be available at attractive discounts, an amalgamation of year-end discounts, exchange bonus and the recently announced excise cut. 
 
Starting with their smallest car, the Eon is now cheaper by Rs 42,630 till the offer lasts; the Santro will be available for Rs 44,074 less, followed by the Next Gen i10 which will be cheaper by Rs 46,883. 
 
The Hyundai Grand i10 will be upto Rs 22,153 cheaper, whereas the i20 will go for Rs 55,645 less, followed by the Verna, Rs 67,549 cheaper. 
 
Big wheels from the Korean carmaker, such as the Elantra will attract a benefit of Rs 93,799 while the Sonata and the recently launched Santa Fe will be a whooping Rs 1,40,400 and Rs 1,35,292 cheaper, respectively.
