Fuel prices have continued to decrease in all around the country, this time by around 40-44 paise. This is thanks to the fall in crude oil prices in the international market.

As of today, a litre of petrol costs Rs 75.57 in Delhi, Rs 81.10 in Mumbai, Rs 77.53 in Kolkata and Rs 78.46 in Chennai. Furthermore, a litre of diesel currently retails at Rs 70.56 in Delhi, Rs 73.91 in Mumbai, Rs 77.53 in Kolkata and Rs 78.46 in Chennai. Overall, there is a drop of about 40-44 paise in the mentioned cities.

Fuel prices were at their highest in October owing to fluctuations in the international markets. However, prices started to dip soon after the United States eased its stand on Iran’s sanctions and allowed eight countries to continue purchasing oil from the Middle Eastern country. These eight countries include India, China, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Turkey, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates.
