Renault has launched the Fluence saloon with an updated diesel engine. This new version is called the Fluence E4 D. It is priced at Rs 15.20 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi)

The upgraded Fluence comes with a new engine, called the 1.5 Energy dCi 110. It  features an upgraded turbo that helps power go upto 108bhp. The air intake has been simplified to achieve more efficient, up-rated turbo performance and this means, the updated Fluence should have a stronger bottom-end performance and reduced turbo-lag as compared to the current version.  This engine upgrade on the Fluence diesel seems quite a significant one.

The E4 D comes with features like cruise control, rain sensing wipers, chrome-lined trunk-lid and window sills, auto headlamps, rear parking sensors and electrically adjustable and foldable rear-view mirrors.

Interiors get leather upholstery, rear sun-blinds, USB and Bluetooth equipped audio system, dual-zone climate control and rear AC ducts.
