Hyundai has launched the facelift of the Elantra in India. The facelifted car is powered by either a 1.8-litre petrol or a 1.6-litre diesel engine along with a choice of a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The Elantra is available in four trim levels – Base, S, SX and SX (AT).

The Base trim-level is only available in the diesel trim, whilst the automatic transmission is available only in the top-spec SX (AT) trim, for both diesel and petrol variants. All variants get 16-inch alloy wheels, projector headlamps with daytime running lights, all-back interiors and disc brakes all round. The Elantra is offered in six shades of paint.

Hyundai Elantra Base (Diesel: Rs 14.58 lakh)

The Base trim comes equipped with standard features such as leather-wrapped steering and gear knob, chrome door handles inside and out, scuff plates, aluminium pedals, height adjustable driver seat, steering rake and reach adjust, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, audio system with Bluetooth, AUX and USB connectivity, cooled glovebox, remote locking, tinted glass, steering mounted controls, electric adjust wing mirrors, front centre armrest with storage, rear seat armrest, sunglass holder, power windows with driver’s window auto-up and down, shift indicator, day-night rear view mirror and auto defogger.

In terms of safety, the base version gets dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, rear parking sensors, impact sensing door unlock, clutch lock, rear defogger with timer, height adjustable front seatbelts with pretensioner and key reminder.

Hyundai Elantra S (Petrol: Rs 14.13 lakh; Diesel: Rs 15.35 lakh)

Over and above the features of the Base-trim, the S-trim gets keyless entry and go system, rear parking camera with display on the rear view mirror, electric folding wing mirror and luggage net and hooks.

The S-trim gets an electro chromic inside rear view mirror as a safety feature.
