Chevrolet has partially revealed the second-generation Volt electric vehicle at the CES 2015 show in Las Vegas, US.
Up front, the new Volt’s grille is divided into a pair of upper and lower units surrounded with new LED daytime-running lights as well as headlights. The side profile shows a sleeker and more sloped roofline as compared to the current car. The carmaker has announced that the new Volt will come with better steering and acceleration performance and the cabin will be quieter than before.
The new Volt’s two-motor drive system weighs 45kg less than the current car's and is expected to be 5-12 percent more efficient. There’s also a new 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which comes with direct injection, cooled exhaust gas recirculation and a variable displacement oil pump.
Chevrolet will officially unveil the second-generation Volt at the upcoming Detroit motor show 2015.
