BMW has added a new variant to its X5 SUV, called the xDrive30d M Sport.
The xDrive30d M Sport gets an M Aero body-kit, which features new bumpers, side-skirts, 19-inch carbon-black alloy wheels and a chrome-tipped exhaust. The interior gets a new M leather steering wheel, a heads-up-display, and a panoramic glass-roof.
The SUV remains mechanically unchanged and is powered by the same TwinPower turbocharged, 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine, which produces 255bhp and 57.1kgm of power and torque. The engine transfers power to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain allows the 2.3-tonne-plus SUV to dispatch the 0-100kph drag in a claimed 6.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 230kph. The X5 xDrive30d M Sport is priced at Rs 75,90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Besides the M Sport, the X5 is available in Expedition, Design Pure, a Design Pure seven-seat and the fire-breathing 567bhp M variants. BMW has also launched two new cars in India at the 2016 Auto Expo, namely the new 7-series, and the all-new X1.
