Auto Expo 2014: Ford Figo gets in-built Wi-Fi

The updated Ford Figo has already reached showrooms.

Ford quietly introduced a Figo that has in-built Wi-Fi at Auto Expo 2014. Ford will offer this first-in-its-class option in all Figo variants that have the factory-fitted audio system -- the EXi, ZXi and Titanium. This is part  of a Rs 9,790 option pack that gets you a dongle that connects to the audio system and creates a Wi-Fi hotspot in the car. You will need to get an extra 2G or 3G SIM card for the system to work.  The option pack also includes colour co-ordinated seat covers and LED lights.

Ford has also made a few equipment updates to the Figo. The EXi now gets a stereo as standard while the ZXi adds a driver airbag and electric mirrors.

Prices on all variants have gone up with only the LXi costing almost the same as before. The EXi is around Rs 10,000 dearer, the ZXi is Rs 20,000 more and the Titanium's price is up by
Rs 10,000. The updated Figo is already in showrooms.
