Vinfast has filed a design patent in India for its Minio Green compact EV. This follows the recent discovery of the Vinfast Limo Green 7-seat SUV design patent and further hints at the Vietnamese EV maker potentially gearing up to launch these fleet-centric models in India. If launched here, the Minio Green would be the second contender in the all-electric supermini segment, which is solely populated by the MG Comet EV at the moment.

Size is comparable to Comet EV, albeit slightly longer
At 3,090mm long, 1,496mm wide, 1,625mm tall, with a 2,065mm wheelbase, the 2-door Minio Green is the smallest and most affordable Vinfast model currently sold globally. It has tall-boy proportions with simple styling flourishes, like semicircular headlights bridged by black and chrome trim, body cladding on the side skirts and bumpers, 13-inch steel wheels, a shark-fin antenna, a small roof spoiler and a blacked-out rear section that encompasses the tail-lamps.
No-frills interior
The Minio Green’s 4-seat cabin is a similarly simple affair, with the dashboard devoid of an infotainment touchscreen or any sort of music system; it only has AC vents and a band of blue trim. There’s a digital driver’s display that doubles up as the Minio Green’s infotainment system, a flat-bottomed 2-spoke steering wheel, AC controls and storage cubbies in the centre console, and more blue trim.
Feature highlights include a 4-way powered driver’s seat, a 2-speaker sound system, an airbag for the driver, traction control, ABS with EBD, and more.

14.7kWh battery
The Minio Green comes equipped with a 14.7kWh battery pack that powers a rear-mounted electric motor, developing 27hp and 65Nm. Top speed is capped at 80kph, and the Minio Green’s NEDC-claimed range stands at 170km. Maximum charging wattage for its battery stands at 12kW.
