Skoda has showcased the Karoq Scout – a more off-road-friendly version of the Karoq – at the Paris motor show. The Karoq Scout gets four-wheel drive as standard, and hardy styling, as well as additional equipment over the standard car.

Three engine options will be on offer: a 150hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel making 150hp or 190hp. The lower-powered diesel is the only variant to get the option of a manual gearbox.

On the outside, the Karoq Scout is marked out by a metallic rear bumper, scuff plates, and a sump guard. The model gets 18-inch wheels as standard, with 19-inch alloy wheels an option, as well as exclusive badging and tinted windows.

The interior also has exclusive touches – the seat upholstery gets bespoke 'Scout' badging and brown highlights to illustrate that it's a more all-terrain variant. It features the Virtual Cockpit digital dials setup as standard, as well as in-car Wi-Fi.

Skoda is expected to bring the standard Karoq to India sometime during 2019. Check out our review of the Yeti's replacement here.
