Porsche has globally unveiled the Cayenne Coupe Electric at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. The German brand’s latest EV sits atop the VW Group’s 800-volt Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture – the Cayenne Electric also uses this platform. While the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric is already on sale in the US and UK, an India launch is expected in late 2026 or early 2027. Depending on the market, the Cayenne Coupe Electric will be sold in Cayenne Coupe, Cayenne S Coupe and Cayenne Turbo Coupe variants.

Turbo variant produces up to 1,156hp, while two electric motors are standard
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric gets two electric motors and an 113kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery pack. The entry-level Cayenne Coupe variant has 442hp and 834Nm, with the mid-tier S variant putting out 666hp and 1,079Nm of torque. At the top of the new Cayenne Coupe Electric line-up is the Turbo, producing up to 1,156hp and 1,500Nm with the ‘overboost’ function enabled. The Turbo is also the fastest variant with a claimed top speed of 260kph and a 0-100kph time of 2.5 seconds.
Porsche is yet to disclose range figures of all the variants of the Cayenne Coupe Electric. However, the top-spec Turbo has a claimed WLTP range of up to 669km. This is up to 18km more than the equivalent Cayenne Electric SUV due to the former’s lower drag coefficient of 0.23, claims Porsche. The 800-volt PPE architecture allows the new Cayenne Coupe Electric to accept DC fast-charging up to 390kW, with the EV being offered with an 11kW AC charger as standard.

Porsche claims that the roofline has been derived from the 911 sports car
The lower drag coefficient comes primarily from the coupe roofline, which the brand claims has been derived from the 911. Porsche has also equipped the Cayenne Coupe Electric with automatic front air shutters & side flaps, plus an adaptive rear spoiler as part of its ‘Active Aerodynamics’ system. Furthermore, the new Cayenne Coupe Electric is available with the optional ‘Lightweight Sport’ package. This includes 22-inch alloy wheels with high-performance tyres, along with carbon trim and a carbon roof.
The exterior design involves broad rear haunches, version-specific front & rear windshields, gloss-black window surrounds, a rear diffuser and wrap-around LED tail-lights. The Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric measures 4,985mm in length, 1,980mm in width and 1,650mm in height. While it is the same length and width as the Cayenne Electric, the Coupe is up to 24mm shorter at the roof.

The Cayenne Coupe EV can be had as a four- or five-seater
Depending on the market, the Cayenne Coupe Electric can be had with two dual-tone interior themes. The general interior design is similar to that of the Cayenne Electric, but Porsche will offer customers of the new Coupe black leather upholstery and a 2+1 rear seating configuration. While the latter can seat three passengers, the individual captain seats restricts capacity to just two.
The main boot of the Cayenne Coupe Electric has a claimed capacity of up to 534 litres with the rear seats in place, with the frunk adding another 90 litres of cargo space. The ‘Lightweight Sport’ package will add elements such as carbon trim, a suede-type material for the headliner and a black & white fabric with a chequered pattern. The Cayenne Coupe Electric shares a lot of feature-set similarities with the Cayenne Electric.
Some of the highlights here include a panoramic glass roof with electric opacity adjustment and up to three digital displays that include a 14.5-inch curved touch-infotainment system, a 14.25-inch curved instrument cluster and an optional 14.9-inch front-passenger display with online streaming services. The equipment list further includes a four-zone climate control system, optional heated & cooled seats, a high-end audio system and an augmented-reality head-up display. An ‘Off-Road Package’ will be available too, enabling towing of up to 3.5 tonnes. The Cayenne Coupe Electric can also be had with rear-axle steering and adaptive air suspension.
Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric expected India launch
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric is already on sale in the US and UK, with customer deliveries in the former set to begin in Q3 2026. Porsche is yet to specify a launch date for India, but it is likely to happen in late 2026 or early 2027. The new Coupe version will be priced higher than the Cayenne Electric, which is presently priced between Rs 1.76 crore and Rs 2.26 crore (ex-showroom, India).
