BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT

Back in the day, if one was a Lord, Baroness or H R H and you wished a spot of brisk motoring to the French Riviera, Bentley’s Continental would have been the most likely choice for the grand tour. Fast forward to the present where the monarchy has been replaced by business oligarchs, but the narrative on the Continental GT still holds. In its latest avatar, the Continental GT promises grand touring wrapped in a cocoon of luxury like never before. The third-generation model uses the Porsche-developed MSB (modular standard drivetrain) platform that is also used in the new Panamera and its weight has gone down by 85kg. Also a new addition, is the Bentley Dynamic Ride – a 48-volt electric active roll-control system from the Bentayga. This makes the car even more agile than before. Propulsion comes from a Bentley’s 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 petrol engine and the Continental is capable of 0-100kph in 3.7sec with a top speed of 333kph. The insides are more akin to a luxury lounge with rich handcrafted details, yards of fine leather and the option of appointing bespoke options for the car.

FERRARI 812 SUPERFAST

Ferrari’s latest big V12 GT has quite simply obliterated the benchmarks set by its predecessor, the F12. The 812 Superfast combines explosive performance (800hp) from its naturally aspirated V12 engine with razor-sharp handling and F1-inspired techno-wizardry to deliver one of the most supreme on-road driving experiences, today. 0-200kph takes a mere 7.9sec; 100 in under 3sec and 200 in 5 – all without 4WD or the weight of the engine over the driven wheels. With emission norms getting tighter by the day, this could be the last non-electrically boosted, 12-cylinder, front-engine GT from Ferrari, ever.

Coming: Mid 2018
Engines: 6.5P
Price: Rs 5 crore

AUDI TT RS

The third-generation TT is fantastic to drive. It looks sporty and comes with a suave cabin. Audi is now bringing a sportier version with a 400hp, 2.5-litre, five-cylinder, turbo-petrol motor that will do 0-100kph in just 3.7sec – making this the fastest TT, ever. It looks a lot meaner now as well.

FERRARI PORTOFINO

Ferrari’s entry-level model gets an all-new chassis that is lighter than before. The Portofino looks sharp and aggressive, with a large radiator grille, and 488 GTB-like headlamps. Powering it is a turbocharged 600hp, 3.9-litre V8. It does a 0-100kph in 3.5sec and has a top speed of 320kph.
