The interior of the Cooper S Victory Edition is similarly awash with small tributes and references to the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally winner. Opening the doors reveals stickers that pay tribute to driver Timo Makinen and co-driver Paul Easter – they piloted the original Cooper to victory at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally – and the sills are emblazoned with ‘1965 Victory Edition’ decals.

Inside, the bottom spoke of the steering wheel is finished in the same red-and-white scheme as the exterior, with a '1965' emblem at the base. Another '1965' emblem adorns centre armrest, which is upholstered in fabric and has a hoop, and the 9.45-inch circular infotainment touchscreen has a background featuring the original Mini Cooper that won the rally. Even the key fob features a '52' emblem and '1965 Victory Edition' lettering.

As for creature comforts, the Cooper S Victory Edition comes with JCW-spec powered sports seats up front, automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Level 1 ADAS, a heads-up display, a heated steering wheel, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, a panoramic glass roof, and more.
