Mini Cooper S Convertible JCW Pack: What’s new?
The JCW Pack is just a cosmetic package that adds a few JCW-specific styling updates inside and out. This includes two exclusive paint shades – Midnight Black and Legend Grey – the latter of which also gets additional bonnet stripes. As is usual with JCW Packs, there’s also a gloss-black finish for the front grille, outer rearview mirrors (ORVM), door handles, wheel arches, side skirts and bumpers. It also rides on new 17-inch JCW wheels finished in black and gets JCW-branded Sport brakes and a jet black fabric roof.
On the inside, the blacked-out treatment continues for the seat upholstery and dashboard trim. It gets JCW-branded sports seats and a JCW-specific steering wheel, but the equipment list remains unchanged from the standard Cooper S Convertible.
The predominantly black interior does get some contrasting elements, such as a red stripe on the front headrests and on the dashboard. Some of the equipment highlights on this convertible include a 9.4-inch circular OLED touch-infotainment system, a head-up display, the Mini connected-car suite, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a Harman Kardon audio system.
Mini Cooper S Convertible JCW Pack: Engine and specs
Under the hood, it’s a familiar affair, sharing its mechanicals with the standard Cooper S Convertible. It’s powered by a 204hp, 300Nm 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which sends power to the front wheels. The 0-100kph sprint takes 6.9 seconds, while it tops out at 237kph. Mini claims the convertible delivers 16.82kpl.
The standard Cooper S hatchback is also available with the sporty-looking JCW Pack priced at Rs 55.65 lakh (ex-showroom), making this convertible the second JCW Pack variant currently in Mini’s range.
