Maruti aims to leverage Indian Oil’s widespread presence to boost its after-sales support.

Maruti Suzuki has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to further its service network. With over 5,780 service centres spread across 2,882 cities, Maruti already has the nation’s most expansive sales and service network. Similarly, Indian Oil operates over 41,000 fuel stations in the country, maintaining a strong presence in both urban and rural locations.

  1. The partnership will give Maruti access to Indian Oil’s touchpoints even in remote areas
  2. Select Indian Oil outlets will offer routine maintenance, minor repairs and even major services

By joining hands with the country’s leading energy giant, the carmaker will be able to offer plenty more service centres with the added advantage of convenient locations for its customers. These new service stations will be able to conduct minor repairs on cars, along with providing routine maintenance. While major services can also be carried out at these centres, the level of these services will differ based on location. Moreover, the services provided will only be available at select Indian Oil outlets.
