The JSW Combat SUV is slated to debut in India on December 4.

A test mule of the JSW Combat was recently spotted, offering a glimpse of the upcoming SUV’s interior for the first time. The spy shots reveal a dual-tone cabin theme and interior elements borrowed from the Chery Jetour T2 SUV, on which the JSW Combat is based. The Combat will debut on December 4, 2026, marking JSW Motors’ entry as a standalone manufacturer in India.

The spy shots suggest that the JSW Combat’s interior will n be very similar to the Chery Jetour T2. The Combat SUV will sport an upright dashboard and what looks like an off-white-and-black cabin theme. A 4-spoke steering wheel with a flattened top and button sections can be seen, with a mix of touch-enabled buttons and physical scrollers, and a covered logo in the centre. A large infotainment screen can be spotted as well, expected to be the same 15.6-inch size as the Jetour T2. The digital driver’s display also seems to be the same 10.25-inch unit as the Chery SUV.

The short drive selector stalk and brushed aluminium trims on the centre console, featuring a rotary drive selector and some physical controls, can be seen as well. The spy shots also reveal an off-white front centre armrest and black leathrette seats.

While the full feature suite of the JSW Combat is yet to be revealed, they are expected to be similar to the Jetour T2, which includes a 6-way powered driver’s seat, a 4-way powered co-driver’s seat, ventilation and memory functions for the front seats and a 12-speaker Sony sound system. The T2 also offers 6 airbags, a 540-degree camera (offering underbody and surround view) and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

JSW Combat SUV: Other things to know

Save for badges and minor revisions, the design is likely to be similar to the Jetour T2’s

Exterior design of the JSW Combat is also expected to be similar to the Chery Jetour T2, albeit with slightly revised headlights and front and rear bumpers, as suggested by previous spy shots. New ‘Combat’ lettering is likely to replace the ‘Jetour’ at the front. It will have a boxy silhouette, with 20-inch alloy wheels expected to be the same size as the Chery SUV. It will also sport generous cladding over the wheel arches, roof rails with neon green design elements, and a box mounted on the boot door to store the charging peripherals. The vertically oriented LED tail-lights are expected to be retained as well.

Will produce 360hp, 610Nm and have a claimed total range of 1,100km

The India-spec JSW Combat will be a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV expected to feature a 1.5-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, an 18.4kWh battery and two electric motors driving the front wheels (FWD). Paired with a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT), the system produces a combined output of 360hp and 610Nm of torque. It offers a claimed all-electric range of 90km on the NEDC cycle, while the combined range with a full fuel tank is rated at up to 1,100km.

JSW Motors is understood to be keen on pricing the Combat aggressively, possibly in the Rs 40-50 lakh (ex-showroom) range. At this price point, it will rival the Kia Sorento, and its rugged underpinnings are expected to place it squarely against the Toyota Fortuner and MG Majestor.
