After announcing the name next week, Jaguar will pull the covers off the production-spec Type 00 this September. The British carmaker revealed earlier this year that the Type 00 will be underpinned by the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), an all-new platform dedicated to EVs.

The Type 00 will be powered by a triple-motor setup producing north of 1,000hp and 1,300Nm. Jaguar claims a WLTP range of 700km and a 321km range top-up in 15 minutes. Air suspension and twin-valve active dampers will be part of the package as well.

Images of the camouflaged Type 00 test cars confirm classic long-bonnet, short-rear proportions with a slab-sided fascia and sloping roofline – quite faithful to the Type 00 concept’s design. However, while the concept was a 2-door, the production-spec Jaguar Type 00 will be a 4-door GT.

Jaguar is expected to launch the production version of the Type 00 in India by late 2027 or early 2028.
