After the official debut at the Frankfurt motor show last year, the Jaguar C-X17 has now made an appearance at the Brussels motor show in an all-new colour dubbed Italian Racing Red.
The Jaguar C-X17 was originally designed to show off the carmaker's new iQ[Al] vehicle platform, which the company will use to kick-start the most ambitious model expansion programme in its history.
Powered by a supercharged engine from the Jaguar XK, the four-wheel-drive concept has been shown in various forms throughout the world, including as a special five-seat variant at the Guangzhou motor show in China late last year.
Although officially, the C-X17 remains a 'concept', Jaguar is continuing development of its production SUV, with latest pictures showing an engineering mule testing using a modified XF body. The production model is due in 2016, and will sit on the C-X17's iQ[Al] platform.
Rear-wheel drive will be standard on the SUV, with four-wheel drive available as an option. The model will be powered by a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, with a supercharged V8 option likely to be offered as well.
