Honda Cars India has slashed the price of its City e:HEV hybrid by nearly Rs 1 lakh. Exclusively sold in one fully-loaded ZX variant, the Honda City hybrid is now priced at Rs 19.90 lakh, ex-showroom. The Honda City e:HEV has the distinction of being the only hybrid in the midsize sedan segment.

  1. Honda City e:HEV has a 1.5-litre petrol engine running on the Atkinson cycle
  2. With assistance from the hybrid system, the total output is rated at 126hp and 253Nm

This significant price drop has surely made the City hybrid more accessible and, together with the government’s recent push for hybrids, may give its sales a strong boost.
