Rudratej Singh has been appointed as the president and chief executive officer of BMW Group India, effective August 1, 2019. In January 9, 2019, he ended his stint as global president of Chennai-based bike maker, Royal Enfield.
Rudratej ‘Rudy’ Singh has over 25 years of work experience during which he has held multiple leadership positions – both in the automotive and non-automotive industry. Prior to his time with Royal Enfield, he worked with Unilever in India and international markets alike, for over 16 years. Singh graduated from Delhi University and holds an MBA degree in Marketing and Finance from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad.
Commenting on this new CEO appointment, Hendrik von Kuenheim, Senior Vice President, Region Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, BMW Group said, “We are delighted to welcome Rudratej Singh as the president and Chief Executive Officer of BMW Group India. With the BMW, Mini and BMW Motorrad brands in India, the BMW Group remains focused on the premium sector of the country's automobile market. Its activities include a manufacturing plant in Chennai, a parts warehouse in Mumbai, a training centre in Gurgaon NCR and dealer organisation across major metropolitan centres of the country.
