Chinese carmaker LCVHI will unveil a new all-electric four-seater called the Venere at the upcoming Geneva motor show.

The model, which comes from the Shanghai-based electric car brand and has been previewed in two images, arrives with four electric motors – two on each axle – powered by a 100kWh lithium ion battery pack. The car features a two-speed transmission on each axle.

The all-electric powertrain produces 1006hp and is claimed to be capable of accelerating the Venere to 100kph in under 3 seconds. Top speed is claimed to be over 250kph.

Measuring 5,118mm, the car is 119mm longer than a Range Rover. It is said to have a drag coefficient of just 0.28Cd, helping it achieve a claimed range of 500kpm on a single charge.

Designed by the Institute of Development in Automotive Engineering in Italy, it uses a chassis made from carbon fibre, helping the car achieve a 2,100kg kerb weight despite the large amount of hardware featured on board.

It features two aluminium chassis supports that attach to the front and rear powerplants.

LVCHI said that the car’s interior features a touchscreen in the tunnel between the driver and passenger in place of a conventional rotary dial.

The car on show in Geneva will be a production-ready example, although LVCHI has yet to confirm where the model will be offered and for how much.

LVCHI was established two years ago and employs 400 people, with 75 percent of its workforce focused on research and development towards electric vehicles.
