Raida Drift Evo Gloves review

The Raida Drift Evo motorcycle gloves position themselves as a protection-oriented option aimed at riders who want track-style features at an accessible price point. The feature list is extensive for the segment, with a clear emphasis on impact protection.

Construction is based on full-grain leather, selected for abrasion resistance and durability. The gloves use external seam stitching, which is intended to reduce internal pressure points, while stretch panels on the fingers improve flexibility during throttle and brake inputs. However, despite the external seam design, the inseam near the fingertips can occasionally press between the nail and finger during longer rides. This can cause mild discomfort and may require readjusting finger placement over extended stints. The leather also feels slightly stiff initially and benefits from a short break-in period.

Raida Drift Evo Gloves reviewGood to have Superfabric protection at this price.

Protection is the defining aspect of the Drift Evo. A carbon-fibre knuckle protector sits prominently across the back of the hand – and it’s good to know that you get a carbon-fibre element at this price point. The scaphoid protection setup combines a TPR palm slider – designed to prevent wrist fracture – with fabric reinforcement addressing a key impact zone in a slide. The pinky finger bridge will also prevent potential injury of the little finger being pulled outwards in a fall. You also have abrasion-resistant Superfabric on the index finger, as well as the scaphoid protector on the palm.

Grip is aided by a suede panel with a silicone print, which helps keep your hands steady on the handlebars. The dual Velcro closure with a strap allows for a secure and adjustable fit.

While comfort could see further refinement, particularly around the fingertip seam finish, the value here is without doubt, and there are few options at Rs 5,850 that offer this breadth of protective features.
