A document revealing a never-seen-before faired touring bike from Indian Motorcycles has surfaced online. The document also reveals that this motorcycle is named the Raptor. Whether this is an internal name or the official name of the bike is still not confirmed.

The image is of a fixed-fairing touring bike similar to Harley's Road Glide. The engine seen in the picture is an all-new unit and, interestingly, is liquid-cooled, despite the presence of cooling fins, which could be just an aesthetic addition.

Polaris filed a patent for a visually similar engine back in 2017, and that patent was approved by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in March 2019. The leaked document of the Indian bike also revealed that the engine is a SOHC, 60-degree, liquid-cooled V-twin that displaces 1,770cc, with a claimed output of 120hp. And also states that the engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.  The unit is slightly smaller than the current 1,811cc Thunder Stroke engine that powers most of Indian’s large cruiser motorcycles like the Chieftain and the Roadmaster.

When launched, this new tourer will take on the likes of the Road Glide from Harley Davidson, which also recently filed a patent for a liquid-cooled V Twin.
