TVS Motor Co has just launched the Scooty Zest 110 at Rs 42,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi), its latest in a successful range of automatic scooters including the Wego and Jupiter. The Scooty Zest 110 will carry TVS's 'Scooty' baton forward as one of India’s most popular automatic scooters for women.

The Scooty Zest 110 is a compact, petite scooter that comes with revised styling over the old Scooty and a familiar looking fascia with flush-fitted chic indicators nestled within a two-tone front apron. The alloy grab handles lend the new Scooty  a compact and upmarket feel.

The instruments get backlight, with a legible speedometer, odometer and fuel-gauge. It also gets a TVS trademark econometer will help riders keep a track on the new scooter's fuel economy. Good quality grips and switches are also offered with the light new Scooty Zest 110. Mirrors are body coloured.

The riding saddle on the new scooter is longer and wider than the earlier Scooty's. It opens to a large, 19-litre storage bay with handy storage cubbies to stow small items, and retractable bag hooks. The textured front floorboard is also broader than earlier.

The scooter's tail comes with an LED-powered warning cluster. Putting the Zest 110 on its main stand is effortless as it is thoughtfully engineered for light operation, the company says.

The Scooty Zest 110 is powered by a four-stroke, 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled and carbureted engine that can be brought to life using a button or kick start. There's an auto choke system in place for easy starts in any condition too. The engine is capable of making 7.9bhp power at 7,500rpm, transferred to the rear wheel through a CVTI automatic transmission system from TVS. Maximum torque output is 0.89kgm at 5,500rpm.

The Scooty Zest 110 does well to use telescopic fork suspension in front, while the rear is sprung by a monoshock. It gets the security of a rear brake lock clamp. The Scooty Zest 110 runs on 10 inch steel rims with tubeless tyres; a 90/100 section in front and 90/90 at the back.

Revised styling along with a new larger powerplant are certain to ensure that the new Scooty Zest 110 offers buyers better value. TVS has also priced it competitively. The scooter is available in four attractive metallic colours, turquoise, red, black and white.
