Suzuki has revealed a new special edition version of its legendary hyperbike – the Hayabusa – internationally. This special edition Hayabusa comes in a striking new colourway and remains mechanically identical to the standard model.

Pillion seat cowl and some special cosmetic touches are standard
What’s immediately apparent when one sees this special edition Hayabusa is the bright blue bodywork with white accents – colours that have been a hallmark of Suzuki two-wheelers for decades now. The company has also given it some bespoke cosmetic touches, such as a new special edition emblem on the tank and a thicker, retro font used for the Suzuki logo on the tank.
One small change that’s likely to go unnoticed is the powder-coated black exhaust muffler tips and heat shields. The final change is that Suzuki will supply a colour-matched pillion seat cowl as standard upon purchase of this special edition Hayabusa.
The rest of the bike is mechanically identical to the standard model, which means you get a prodigious 188hp and a staggering 149Nm of torque from the large 1,340cc, inline-four cylinder mill.
In its current generation, the Hayabusa is quite a feature-rich machine with the inclusion of cruise control, hill-hold control, traction control, a bidirectional quickshifter and power modes, as well as dual-channel ABS, all part of standard equipment.
It remains to be seen if this special ‘Pearl Vigor Blue’ Hayabusa makes its way to India. Currently, Suzuki Motorcycle India offers the standard ‘Busa at an asking price of Rs 16.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
