Royal Enfield’s Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 have been spotted in new colour schemes in Australia. Revelry Cycles, a Royal Enfield dealer in Sydney, Australia, put up pictures of a white/red Interceptor and a black/grey-coloured GT 650. We believe these will be alternative options to the colour schemes the bikes were originally launched in.

As with the launch colour schemes, the new colours also have the side panel in black. However, the tank on the new Interceptor wears a two-tone white and red paint job with a neat gold stripe running between them. In the case of the Continental GT 650, the tank is two-tone as well, but with a black and grey colour scheme with a neon yellow stripe separating them.

Colours schemes aside, the bikes remain unchanged. The RE Interceptor 650 is a retro-styled street motorcycle and is straightforward in its layout. It features a one-piece quilted seat that’s pretty much completely flat and should be comfortable for both, rider and pillion. A conventional handlebar and mildly rear-set foot pegs make for an upright riding stance. This look changes on the Continental GT 650, which, in turn, features clip-on handlebars and a solo seat with a dual-seat option.

Both bikes are powered by a 648cc, air-cooled, four-valve SOHC, fuel-injected parallel-twin motor that produces 47hp at 7,100rpm and 52Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. They are paired to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch. These Royal Enfields are equipped with a conventional telescopic fork and gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is addressed by a single disc, up front, and a smaller disc at the rear with standard dual channel ABS.

The bikes are expected to launch in the third quarter of 2018 and be priced somewhere between Rs 3-3.5 lakh.
