Royal Enfield will be bolstering its 650cc line-up with a slew of launches in the coming years with everything from a faired Continental GT, a 650cc adventure bike and even a scrambler based on its parallel-twin platform. Now, new images of the 650cc scrambler have surfaced and we can see that the LED headlight used here is the same as the recently unveiled Super Meteor 650 cruiser.

Royal Enfield 650cc scrambler: details
The design of the scrambler hasn’t changed significantly from the last time we spied it, but a couple of things do stand out. First and foremost is the LED headlight which first debuted on the Super Meteor 650 cruiser and has now made its way here as well. Another design element that differs from last time around is the absence of flat-tracker style round panels on its sides in favour of the ones we see on the Interceptor and the Continental GT 650. The handlebar features a brace and appears to be similar to the one on the Interceptor 650 as well, albeit finished in black instead of chrome.
Elsewhere, the Royal Enfield 650cc scrambler differs from the existing 650 twins in that it features a USD front fork much like the Super Meteor 650. The twin rear shock absorbers too seem to be longer travel units than the ones on the existing 650 twins. As is usually the case with a scrambler-style motorcycle, wire-spoke rims shod with dual-purpose tyres are on offer here.
The RE 650cc scrambler features a slightly stepped single-piece seat although its curvature is nowhere near something like the Yezdi Scrambler. The switchgear, handlebar grips and indicators are the same units seen on the new-age 350 models. The exhaust system itself appears to be quite unfinished and the presence of an LED indicator attached to an exposed wiring harness at the rear (aside from the existing tail lamp and indicators) indicates that the bike is still far from production-spec and its India launch is still some time away.
