Rush 1000 production to begin in June at MV Agusta factory in Varese, Italy
Production will be limited to 300 units, pre-orders for which have begun

MV Agusta will be starting production of its drag-strip-inspired Rush 1000 at its factory in Varese, Italy, in June. The Rush 1000 made its debut at EICMA 2019 and its production will be limited to 300 units, making this a very exclusive motorcycle. Pre-orders are already being accepted on the company’s website and we expect this bike to sell-out very soon.
The Rush 1000 finds its roots in the Brutale 1000 RR, but MV Agusta went back to the drawing board with certain elements to better suit this bike’s drag-racing-inspired design. For instance, MV tells us that the rear wheel cover is a technical solution to reduce the coefficient of drag. This is something we’ve seen fellow Italian marquee Ducati run on its MotoGP bikes in the past. And considering that MV Agusta claims a top speed of “over 300kph”, the added aerodynamics it provides will come into play, especially on a naked motorcycle.
Powering the Rush 1000 is the inline-four engine from the latest-generation Brutale 1000, with peak output figures of 208hp at 13,000rpm and 116.5Nm of torque at 11.000rpm. Owners also have the option to equip their Rush 1000 with the factory Racing Kit that includes an aftermarket SC Project exhaust and ECU remap that takes power up to 212hp at 13,600rpm. Torque, meanwhile, will remain the same. The Racing Kit also includes a carbon-fibre passenger seat cowl.
Balancing out all that power is a comprehensive electronics package that includes a launch control system, wheelie control, eight levels of traction control and a bi-directional quickshifter. The hardware on offer is top-spec, as well. Suspension components are electronically and fully adjustable units from Öhlins, while braking hardware consists of Brembo Stylema calipers and Bosch 9 Plus Race ABS.
The Rush 1000 is a very unique motorcycle, in terms of its design. The changes in comparison to the Brutale 1000 come down to the smaller elements, but they make a world of a difference in its overall appearance. Details like the specially designed headlight, spoked front wheel and the ultra-minimalist rear subframe and passenger seat play a huge role in its distinctiveness.
The Rush 1000 is priced at €34,000 (Rs 28.16 lakh), which is up on the already very expensive Brutale 1000 RR’s €29,900 (Rs 24.83 lakh) price tag. Of course, the Rush will be much more exclusive, but unfortunately this is a Euro 4 model, which means you won’t be able to import and register it in India even if you do have the resources to do so.
