Kawasaki launches Z250 and ER-6n in India

Kawasaki's Z250 is powered by a 250cc engine and is priced at Rs 2.99 lakh while the ER-6n has a 650cc engine and a sticker price of Rs 4.78 lakh.

Kawasaki has launched a pair of eagerly anticipated twin-cylinder naked sportsbikes in the Indian market, the Z250 and ER-6n.

The Kawasaki Z250 is powered by a 249cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with a fuel-injection system and dual throttle valve technology for optimal fuel-efficiency. The Z250 uses telescopic shock absorbers in front and a monoshock at the rear. For stopping power, the Z250 uses a single disc brake in front and at the back. The new Z250 is launched at a strategic point of time, with DSK Benelli bringing its 300cc bike to India shortly as well, and KTM working towards a twin-cylinder target in the future as well. The Kawasaki Z250 is priced at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) 

The ER-6n is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled and four-stroke unit, and apart from the full fairing that has been replaced by a funky, new-age, bikini clad headlamp, there is little to differentiate between the existing Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the new ER-6n. The ER-6n uses front telescopic shock absorbers, mated to a side-mounted monoshock at the rear. The ER-6n uses twin discs brakes in front and a single disc at rear. Kawasaki has launched the ER-6n at an attractive price of Rs 4.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
