Jawa has announced a limited-edition motorcycle based on the dual-channel ABS Jawa to celebrate 90 years since the brand came into existence. The Jawa ‘90th Anniversary Edition’ is limited to 90 units and priced the same as the standard Jawa – Rs 1.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
What’s even more interesting is that the bike will reach dealerships on October 15, 2019, and customers with existing bookings, or those who make one before October 22, will be eligible to opt for a lucky draw that will determine whether they will get the limited-edition bike – the delivery of which will happen immediately after the draw results are revealed.
The limited-edition Jawa features a red-and-ivory paint scheme inspired by the Jawa 500 OHV – the brand’s first motorcycle, which was conceived in 1929. Every motorcycle will also feature a 90th Anniversary commemorative emblem on the fuel tank, along with an individual serial number.
The technical specifications of the motorcycle remain unchanged; it is powered by a 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that makes 27hp and 28Nm of torque.
