Hero recently expanded its electric scooter line-up with the new Vida VX2, which was launched at a tantalisingly low starting price of just Rs 59,490. Now, the company has announced a limited-time introductory price offer, which brings the starting price of the Vida VX2 models to just Rs 44,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
- Vida VX2 models can be bought with BaaS
- VX2 Go has a 2.2kWh battery, VX2 Plus has a 3.4kWh battery
- Introductory prices valid for a limited time only
Vida VX2 prices reduced for limited period
Vida VX2 purchase price significantly lower if bought via BaaS model
At launch, the Vida VX2 Go variant was priced at Rs 59,490 with BaaS and Rs 99,490 without it, while the VX2 Plus cost Rs 64,990 with BaaS and Rs 1.10 lakh without it. Now, with this limited-period introductory price offer, the VX2 Go is priced at an even lower Rs 44,990 with BaaS and Rs 84,990 without it, whereas the VX2 Plus costs Rs 57,990 with BaaS and Rs 99,990 without it.
With such aggressively low prices, Hero must be aiming to solidify its position in the fast-growing electric two-wheeler market, which is starting to see some serious traction in recent times.
The main difference between the two VX2 variants is the battery capacity. The Go comes with a single removable battery pack with a capacity of 2.2kWh, while the Plus comes with two removable battery packs with a capacity of 3.4kWh. As a result, the VX2 Go has a lower 92km range, while the VX2 Plus can go a higher 142km on a single charge (both claimed IDC range numbers).
These introductory prices are likely to be valid for a limited time only, although the company hasn’t revealed an exact timeline before which the original prices will again come into effect.
