Harley-Davidson India has announced that the BS6-compliant Street 750 and Street Rod will be available at Canteen Store Departments (CSD) across India. The CSD caters to the armed forces and offers products, including automobiles, at special rates. The Harley-Davidson Street 750 and Street Rod, likewise, will be available for armed forces personnel, ex-servicemen and their dependents as well. The special price of the Street 750  is Rs 4.6 lakh while the Street Rod is priced at Rs 5.65 lakh.

This is the first time that these Harley-Davidson motorcycles have been introduced in the CSD and makes it that much easier for servicemen and women to buy a Harley.

Speaking about the introduction of these vehicles in the CSD Sajeev Rajasekharan, Managing Director – Asia Emerging Markets and India, Harley-Davidson, said, “Harley-Davidson shares a long-term alliance with the armed forces across the globe. With both Street motorcycles being included in the inventory at CSD in India, we look forward to providing more access to members of the armed forces and seeing more members of the forces fulfil their desire to own a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.”

Harley-Davidson also announced a special  Harley Owners Group (H.O.G) chapter for the armed forces personnel. Called the Armed Forces H.O.G chapter, it allows owners free and safe custody of their motorcycles across Harley-Davidson dealerships. This is especially useful on days when these brave men/women are stationed in duty and away from home and their motorcycles.

The Street 750 and Street Rod are powered by the 749cc, Revolution X, V-Twin engine that develops 60Nm of torque. The Street Rod is positioned as the more premium motorcycle of the two, with features including USD front fork, gas charged twin shocks and twin front discs.
