Harley opens India headquarters

With its first five dealerships already in place, Harley-Davidson now opens its India headquarters in Gurgaon.

In order to establish itself in India, Harley-Davidson, the iconic US bike maker has opened its India headquarters in Gurgaon. The announcement comes on the heels of the cult bike maker appointing its first five dealerships across India, a month ago.

Speaking on the occasion, Anoop Prakash, MD, Harley-Davidson India said, “The establishment of Harley-Davidson India’s permanent headquarters marks an important milestone for us. We have designed an environment where our employees and partners can effectively collaborate and innovate to design and deliver extraordinary experiences for our customers.”

The bookings had already begun since April 20, 2010, and the company is now looking forward to start with the deliveries starting June this year. The 2010 model line-up consists of 12 models from 5 different families namely the Sportster, Dyna, Softail, Touring and V-Rod. The XL 883L Sportster will be the cheapest Harley-Davidson that will retail at Rs 6.95 and the Flhtcuse Ultra Classic Electra Glide priced at Rs 34.95 will the range topper (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
