Ducati has announced its certified pre-owned programme, called Ducati Approved, through which it will sell pre-owned motorcycles. Bikes being sold through this programme will be less than five years old, and have a mileage lower than 50,000km. Apart from this, Ducati Approved certifies a motorcycle for sale only after it passes a series of 35 technical checks conducted by the Italian manufacturer’s service technicians. The programme will host the entire range of Ducati motorcycles being sold in the country.
A Ducati Approved motorcycle customer will also get the benefits of the Roadside Assistance programme, along with 12 months of warranty.
Sergi Canovas, managing director of Ducati India, said, “I believe that the Ducati Approved programme will help bike enthusiasts in upgrading themselves to their dream machine in a cost-efficient and assured manner. With this programme, our aim is to sell bikes with the same level of sophistication and authenticity as offered with a new Ducati.”
Ducati is the not the first foreign manufacturer to enter the pre-owned motorcycle business in India, as Harley Davidson recently entered that market with their Harley Davidson Originals programme.
