Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati recently launched its Monster 821 and Monster 1200 S in new paint scheme, called ‘Stripe’. This new look features a white racing stripe that runs from the mudguard to the tail panel, giving the bike a fresher appeal.

The engine specs on both motorcycles remain the same though. The Monster 821 Stripe gets the potent 821cc, liquid-cooled, L-twin motor, and it produces 110.5bhp of power at 9,250rpm and maximum torque of 9.1kgm of torque at 7,750rpm. The Monster 821 Stripe is equipped with a slipper clutch. The chassis here is a tubular steel trellis frame attached to the cylinder head. For braking, the Monster 821 Stripe uses a pair of 320mm radially mounted Brembo disc brakes with ABS system as standard. The Monster 821 Stripe weighs 205.5kg.

The larger-capacity Ducati Monster 1200 Stripe's powerful engine displaces 1198.4cc and has the liquid-cooled, L-twin cylinder layout. This Ducati produces 143bhp of power at 8,750rpm and maximum torque of 12.7kgm at 7,250rpm. Suspensions used here are upmarket Ohlins, fully adjustable 48mm USD forks up front and an almost horizontal mounted monoshock at rear. The 1200S Stripe uses larger 330mm radially mounted and ABS-equipped disc brakes at the front and a capable single 245mm disc at rear. The Monster 1200 S Stripe weighs a bit more at 209kg.
