Honda has launched the next edition of the Aviator in India. The 2018 Honda Aviator will retail for Rs 55,157 for the standard variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes the new Aviator Rs 1,405 more expensive than its predecessor. It is available in three variants – standard, alloy drum and alloy disc.

The new scooter has been equipped with LED headlights, as seen on the new Activa 5G and Honda Dio. Other additions on the 2018 Honda Aviator include a four-in-one lock, a seat-opener switch, a front and retractable rear hook, LED position lamps and a metal muffler.

Speaking about the 2018 Aviator, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice-president, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd, said, “Honda is leading India’s scooterisation and is continuously extending its advanced upgrades across the scooter range. Now that we have added new attractive and convenient features, the 2018 editions of the stylish Aviator are ready to hit the road with enhanced comfort.”

Honda has also introduced a new colour for the 2018 Aviator – Pearl Spartan Red – which will be sold alongside existing shades of Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic and Pearl Amazing White.

Apart from these cosmetic updates, no other changes have been made to the scooter. The scooter is powered by the same 109cc engine seen on the outgoing model. The air-cooled, single-cylinder motor churns out 8hp and 9Nm of torque. Its suspension hardware consists of a telescopic front fork and a monoshock unit at the back.

Apart from the new Aviator, Honda also officially launched the 2018 Honda Activa-i a few days ago. The Activa-i is a sleeker, female-oriented scooter offered by the automaker.
