Under its Sewa initiative, MG has handed over a retrofitted Hector ambulance to the Chinmaya Centre of World Understanding in Delhi. Based on the MG Hector, the ambulance is transformed into an emergency response vehicle, replete with an auto-loading stretcher, an oxygen supply system with a cylinder, a medicine cabinet with a five-parameter monitor, a fire extinguisher, an exterior light bar with a siren and amplifier, an inverter with a battery and sockets and additional interior lighting. The ambulance will be utilised for on-site readiness during education programmes and residential camps for quick emergency care and safe patient transport. Previously, another Hector ambulance was donated to a hospital in Gujarat during the COVID-19 pandemic, and 100 Hector SUVs were donated for use by personnel who provided essential services during the lockdown period.
