The Lola T70S GT revives the original 1960s endurance racer, while being fully re-engineered underneath. In track form, the modern version is called the T70S, while the road-legal version is the T70S GT. It uses a naturally aspirated 6.2-litre Chevrolet V8 paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. An aluminium chassis keeps weight low at 890kg (dry), the engine produces 507hp, giving a power-to-weight ratio of 570hp per tonne and enabling 0-100kph in 2.9sec and 0-200kph in 9.3sec. A lighter 860kg version makes 537hp, improving the ratio to 625hp per tonne, with 0-100kph in 2.5sec and a 327kph top speed. The body uses a plant fibre and basalt composite, while the cabin remains analogue but adds air-conditioning and small storage. Production is limited to 16 units. All T70S GTs will be registered in the UK.
