The BMW i5 LWB will soon launch in India as the electric equivalent to the 5 Series LWB.
At 5,175mm, the i5 LWB is 115mm longer overall than the i5 M60, and has a 110mm longer wheelbase.
Compared to the i5 M60, the LWB has more satin chrome exterior trim and slightly revised bumpers.
Kidney grilles up front feature an illuminated surround.
20-inch M-spec alloy wheels come fitted as standard.
Ground clearance has been increased to help the i5 LWB deal better with Indian roads.
Wraparound LED tail-lamps and satin chrome bumper finishes characterise the rear.
i5 LWB features a very similar dashboard layout to the i5 M60.
Three-spoke flat-bottomed M-spec steering wheel feels nice to hold.
The i5 LWB packs a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Thick ambient lighting strips can dynamically shift colours and provide visual feedback for phone calls, charging status, etc.
Floating centre console houses lots of touch-capacitive controls; ambient lighting extends to cupholders too.
Massive panoramic glass roof has embedded LEDs that sync up with the ambient lighting.
Rear occupants get separate AC zones with a touch panel at the centre.
The benefit of the added wheelbase shows in the i5 LWB's more spacious rear section.
A Bowers & Wilkins sound system is part of the equipment list as well.
81.6kWh, rear-motor powertrain delivers 268hp and 669km range (MIDC); 0-100kph in a claimed 6.7 seconds.

BMW has debuted the India-spec i5 LWB in India, with bookings now open and launch slated for the coming weeks. The i5 LWB is not the first of the i5 nameplate to be available in the Indian market, as BMW has been selling the performance-focused standard-wheelbase i5 M60 here since 2024. Where the i5 M60 is a fully imported model, though, the i5 LWB will be locally assembled, allowing BMW to price it more competitively.
