Follow us The new design of the nose is sporty and the headlights and grille combo are attractive. Chrome door handles stand out, look a bit out of place here. Performance isn't as strong as that of the City or for that matter even the Verna. It would have looked better with bigger wheels; these 15-inch ones are a bit small. Toyota Yaris has a slightly stiff suspension that allows it to take bad roads in its stride. All four wheels get disc brakes on the V and VX versions. Elongated headlamp unit looks good; note LED daytime running lights below. One petrol engine is available for now; VX is the top trim. 107hp engine responds well to that important first tap on the throttle. Cabin looks attractive, but quality levels are a bit of a mix. Six footers will brush their heads, but for the rest of us rear seat works quite well. Roof-mounted blower unit looks odd but performs well. Automatic is a CVT with seven steps, performance is adequate. Gesture control is a first for the segment; it works surprisingly well. CVT automatic can be driven in manual mode for a more sporty drive. First in segment powered driver's seat makes car feel special. All three passengers at the rear get three point seat belts: nice. Chunky buttons on the steering wheel easy to use on the move. All-new pics of the India-spec Toyota Yaris mid-size sedan that rivals the Honda City and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
