Without further ado, here are answers to five of the most frequently asked questions about the MG Hector Plus.
The MG Hector Plus' ex-showroom price starts at Rs 17.50 lakh and goes up to Rs 23.94 lakh. If you were to buy the Hector Plus in Delhi, its on-road price may fall in the Rs 20.78 lakh to Rs 27.70 lakh bracket; in Mumbai, it ranges between Rs 21.23 lakh and Rs 28.76 lakh.
A total of five Hector Plus variants are up for grabs: Style, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro. The Hector Plus is also available with Snowstorm and Blackstorm editions featuring exterior and interior cosmetic upgrades. The MG SUV gets two engine options: a 143hp, 250Nm, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 170hp, 350Nm, 2.0-litre diesel. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard, but only the Hector Plus petrol trims can be paired with a CVT automatic.
The top-spec Hector Plus packs in features like LED projector headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, connected tail-lights, and a lot more. Interestingly, the facelifted Hector siblings look identical, unlike the pre-facelift versions that were slightly differentiated.
The interior has a portrait-oriented 14-inch touchscreen that features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto paired to an 8-speaker Infinity sound system. Then, there’s a 7-inch driver’s display, ventilated front seats, wireless charger, ambient lights and a PM 2.5 air purifier. Second-row seat comfort is impressive, with well-judged cushioning that makes it ideal for those who prefer to be chauffeur-driven. In our pre-facelift Hector Plus review, what really stood out was the sheer amount of legroom on offer. Coming to the third row, we found it was best suited for children. Additionally, the knees-up seating and upright backrest limit it for occasional use. When not in use, these 50:50 split seats can be folded down to open up boot space.
