The Hero Xtreme 125R is powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 11.55hp at 8,250rpm and 10.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. This engine is based on the Glamour 125’s unit, but it’s tuned for more power and refined with a balancer shaft and silent cam chain to reduce vibrations and harshness.
In our performance tests, the Hero Xtreme 125R clocked 0-60kph in 6.04 seconds and reached 80kph in 11.29 seconds. Beyond that, like most bikes with this level of performance, it began to run out of steam, taking 24.84 seconds to hit 100kph. These figures are respectable for the segment, though the TVS Raider we tested alongside was marginally quicker across the board.
In our tests, the Hero Xtreme 125R returned an impressive 53.3kpl in the city and 66.75kpl on the highway.
