Honda has launched the Elevate facelift in India with prices ranging from Rs 11.80 lakh to Rs 18.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted model not only sports design revisions outside and inside, but it also gets some new, modern-day features to keep it relevant in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment. Here is a list of all improvements the Honda Elevate facelift gets over the older model.
Improved sound insulation
Cabin insulation was one aspect where the older Elevate lacked
One of the major criticisms about the older Elevate was its poor in-cabin sound insulation that let a lot of engine noise inside, especially in the mid and high RPMs. Some tyre and road noise would also filter into the cabin. Honda claims to have fixed this issue with the facelifted Elevate.
Powered front seats
Offered with the top-spec ZX+ trim only
The Honda Elevate now offers powered front seats, where the driver’s and co-driver’s seats are 8-way and 4-way electrically adjustable, respectively. However, this feature is offered only in the top-spec ZX+ trim. Lower trims are offered with manual adjustment for the driver’s seat, while the co-driver’s seat does not offer manual adjustment on any trim.
Front and rear ventilated seats
Front seat ventilation from ZX; rear seat ventilation only with ZX+
Not only are the front seats powered, but they are also offered with a new ventilation function from the one-below-the-top ZX trim. The Elevate facelift also gets rear seat ventilation, which is a segment-first feature, but it is offered only with the top-spec ZX+ trim.
360-degree camera
Surround-view cameras were offered as an accessory with the older Elevate
Honda is not offering a factory-fitted 360-degree camera with the Elevate on the top-spec ZX+ trim. On the older model, such a feature was offered as an accessory. On the facelifted Elevate, a rear parking camera is offered with the one-over-base V trim, and a LaneWatch camera is available from the next in line VX trim.
Front parking sensors and adaptive cruise control
The adaptive cruise control comes with a low-speed follow function
With the facelifted model, the Elevate now gets front parking sensors, but it is offered only with the ZX trim. Rear parking sensors, however, are offered as standard from the base variant. Honda has also added adaptive cruise control with a low-speed follow function to the ZX+ CVT variant of the Elevate. This theoretically means that the Elevate will be able to follow a lead vehicle automatically at both slow and high speeds.
Better braking setup
CVT variants get rear discs and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold
Honda has added some more safety features to the Elevate, including rear disc brakes and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, but these are reserved for the CVT variants only. One good thing, however, is that all the CVT variants are equipped with these features. The manual variants, on the other hand, get drum brakes at the rear end and a manual parking brake lever.
