I live in Gurugram and am planning to buy the current-generation Toyota Camry. My only concern is its ground clearance, which stands at 145mm and seems quite low. Would this be an issue during everyday city driving, especially when encountering unexpected or poorly designed speed breakers? I also occasionally drive to hill stations, roughly twice a year. Would the Camry's ground clearance be adequate for such trips, or would I need to be particularly cautious?
Yes, the ground clearance could be a concern over unusually large speed breakers, however, under most scenarios, the car isn't likely to scrape if you are careful. On the hills, with aggressive throttle inputs, the e-CVT's tendency to hold high revs could make it sound strained; however, the engine is adequately powerful and it'll never leave you wanting for more power.
Overall, the Toyota Camry hybrid is an excellent choice if you're looking for a luxurious, comfortable and efficient sedan.
