The latest test sightings suggest Maruti is in the advanced stages of development, which usually points to a launch in the coming months rather than being a distant future product.As for ADAS, while Maruti has not officially confirmed the exact feature list yet, it is widely expected that the updated Brezza will bring a stronger technology and safety package to stay competitive, and ADAS is very much a possibility.So if your priority is getting the latest Brezza with newer features and potentially ADAS, it makes sense to wait a little rather than buying the outgoing model right now.

We would suggest the Kia Carens Clavis EV as the most sensible choice. It is a genuinely sorted package, and more importantly, one of the few EVs that works properly as a family-friendly 7-seater. The third row is well-executed by segment standards, so unlike many 7-seaters, it is actually usable for family duty rather than being an occasional emergency bench.If you can stretch your budget a little, the BYD EMax 7 is also worth serious consideration. Its biggest advantage is the larger battery pack and meaningfully better range, which makes it the stronger option if you plan to do longer outstation trips in your electric car. It also feels more substantial as an overall EV package.

The new Hyundai Venue is a genuinely well-rounded package. It is more spacious than before, the rear seat is now comfortable enough for two adults, the turbo petrol engine feels punchy, and overall, it is easy to live with. The only caveat is the DCT gearbox. It is smooth enough in normal use, but it is not as seamless in traffic as the 3XO’s torque converter automatic, which is where the Mahindra clearly has the advantage.The Mahindra XUV 3XO also has a wider and more spacious rear seat, making it a better five-seater if family use matters. The downside is boot space, which is among the smallest in the segment, so if luggage carrying matters, that is worth keeping in mind.The new Tata Punch is a solid improvement over the older car, but compared to the others here, it does not feel as premium, as powerful or as sophisticated, which is reflected in its lower price positioning. The Nexon is still a competent option, but against the fresher 3XO and Venue, it now feels a little dated.
