Looking for an automatic car without a sunroof, with a budget under ₹15 lakh. I love the Creta, but my mind needs an opinion on my options before I give in to my heart.

You will need to stretch your budget for the Hyundai Creta automatic, as even the base EX O IVT variant will set you back by over Rs 16 lakhs on-road. Also, by default, this variant gets a sunroof. Alternatively, you could look at the Kia Seltos, the HTE O IVT variant, which is cheaper than the entry-level Creta automatic, and what you will also appreciate is that it doesn't get a Sunroof.
Moreover, the Seltos has a newer interior, which feels modern and looks more upmarket than the Creta's. Cabin space is more than that of the Hyundai, and the Kia's ride comfort is also very impressive. You will still have to stretch your budget for the Kia, but the Seltos HTE O IVT is seriously worth considering.

I am confused in between the honda amaze 1.2 lt and the sonet petrol 1 lt. Turbo . I need it only for the city driving since I have a Tuscon for outstations. I have experienced a better a.c in the Honda compared to the sonet . Can you please recommend which one should I go with. My driving is below 1000 kms per month.

Check out the Citroen Basalt top model. It sits just beneath your budget and has good features. It is a coupe suv, so interior space is also slightly better than most other cars. It is a very fun to drive car Except for the Citroen network issue, there's absolutely no problem in this. You should really check this out

Hello Sir, I am looking to purchase an SUV within a budget of ₹15 lakh (on-road). Initially, the Tata Sierra was one of my preferred options, but after watching your video, I became a bit uncertain about it. Since then, I have also started considering the base petrol variant of the Harrier. I do not drive a car on a daily basis. My average monthly travel is around 400 km, and my annual usage is approximately 6,000-7,000 km. My driving is usually less in the city and more on highways. I frequently travel through the ghat sections of Pune and the Konkan region with five passengers and a significant amount of luggage. Therefore, I am looking for a car that is safe, fuel-efficient, and has relatively low maintenance costs. I would really appreciate your suggestion on which option would be the best choice for my requirements. Thank you.

The Tata Harrier Smart turbo-petrol MT (base) should be close to your Rs 15 lakh budget (on-road). It is a spacious 5-seater with a large boot, and its turbo-petrol has ample performance to effortlessly drive through the ghat sections with a full-load of passengers and luggage. Do keep in mind that the Harrier is a heavy car, and turbo-petrol engines are very sensitive to your driving style, so we'd advise you to keep your fuel efficiency expectations low.Alternatively, you can consider the Kia Seltos HTE(O) Turbo-petrol iMT. It is spacious, and performance is adequate, too. And being lighter, fuel efficiency is likely to be a bit better.

With a daily running of around 50 to 60 km, a diesel automatic makes good sense as your monthly usage will easily justify the better fuel efficiency and relaxed nature of a diesel engine.Between the two options, the Kia Seltos diesel automatic is the better choice overall. The diesel engine is refined, and the 6-speed torque converter automatic is smooth and well-suited for normal city traffic as well as highway drives.The Tata Sierra is also a strong Midsize SUV with more cabin space. But its diesel engine is noticeably noisier and less refined than the Hyundai-Kia diesel. It is also over a lakh more expensive in comparable automatic variants.For your usage and preference for an automatic, the Seltos diesel automatic is the more balanced and sensible option thanks to its refinement, smooth gearbox and lower price.

We would recommend you look at the new upcoming Skoda Kushaq. It sits above the compact SUV segment but is still not too large and is among the smaller of the mid-size SUVs, thus it remains quite easy and manageable in the city. The Kushaq is well equipped with many standard safety features and has scored a 5-star crash rating in the GNCAP tests, thus it meets your priority of safety too. Since you are driving in the city and looking for fuel efficiency too, we would suggest the 1.0 litre engine, which will launch with an 8-speed torque convertor automatic transmission. Torque convertors are the smoothest type of automatic transmission around, which you will appreciate in the city stop-and-go traffic. Being an 8-speed (earlier was a 6-speed unit), mileage should also improve over the previous car. It returned a figure of 8.5kpl in the city, 12.4 kpl on the highway, in our standard test cycle.
