    I own a Royal Enfield Thunderbird Twin Spark (2011) — it’s been very comfortable for my mostly city riding (under 200 km/week), but it’s now nearing the end of its life. Should I modify and re-register this bike for more comfort, or buy a newer model that offers medium seating height, strong road presence, and excellent comfort for daily urban commutes and occasional longer rides? Please suggest models under ₹2 lakh.

    We'd suggest that you look at a newer bike, primarily due to ethanol-blended fuels that are likely to cause problems with older motorcycles, even if they have been refurbished. We suggest you look within the Royal Enfield family itself at options like the Meteor 350, Classic 350, or Bullet 350 to meet the requirements that you have highlighted

Please suggest suitable options. Given your requirements, the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger are worth a look. There's plenty of space for rear seat passengers, and there is enough room for three passengers to sit in the back in reasonable comfort. You could also consider the superbly packaged Renault Triber. It's three rows of seats give lots of flexibility in seating, and the option to slide the middle row also means you can open up lots of legroom by moving the seat to its rearward position.

    Asked by: Akki I am looking to buy a good EV and want something a segment above city cars. I had shortlisted the XEV 9e, but considering the ₹2 lakh price difference compared to the 9s, I feel the XEV 9e may not sustain its current pricing and could see a price correction. The December offers are available, but they are not attractive enough for me to close the deal. Should I wait for another 2-3 months, or do you think the current offers are the best and I should go ahead with the purchase? There is no confirmation of a possible price reduction for the Mahindra XEV 9e. In fact, carmakers usually use the new calendar year to bump up prices. If your heart is set on the Mahindra XEV 9e, we'd advise you to make the most of the year-end discounts. Alternatively, you could consider the attractively priced Mahindra XEV 9S that is essentially a 9e in a conventional SUV body style. The two SUVs are one and the same under the skin, and it's only the different suspension tuning (the 9S is set up much softer) that is the point of difference that you'd feel on the move. The 9S also gives added flexibility with a third row of seats.

    Asked by: Arun Iyengar My Honda Dazzler 150’s RC lapses in June 2026. The odometer reads 1.1 lakh km and I’ve had a trouble-free ownership - it still runs like new every day. If I sell it, I don’t think any other bike will match its reliability. If I renew the RC, I’ll likely keep riding it until my son is in 8th grade (around 2031). My wife owns a 2022 Jupiter 125, and I’m increasingly leaning toward scooters. I like the Aerox but feel it may not offer value for money; the Honda Access looks boring. I need advice on whether to sell, renew, or switch to a scooter and which scooter (if any) would match the Dazzler’s reliability. Since you have had such a lovely experience with your Dazzler, you could play it safe and replace it with the Honda Unicorn / SP160 - both of which can trace their roots back to your machine. Other options for you in a similar displacement bracket are the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar N160. Coming to scooters, we would recommend the TVS Ntorq 125 or Ntorq150 - depending on your budget - both of which are sporty, capable and comfortable scooters that will stand out from the crowd. The only reason we would steer you away from the Yamaha Aerox is its stiff rear suspension, which will get tiring and downright intolerable if you stay in an area with less-than-perfect roads.

    Asked by: Vaibhav Nalawade I am 6 ft 2 in tall and weigh 70 kg. I want to upgrade my 2012 CBZ. Please suggest which bike is better for me among the KTM Adventure 250, TVS RTX 300 and TVS Ronin. If you are comfortable with the heft and size of an adventure bike, then the KTM 250 Adventure and the TVS Apache RTX 300 are both sensible, smooth and comfortable options. Between the two, we'd recommend the RTX because it gives you more for your money. The TVS Ronin is a fantastic bike too, with a smooth engine and good comfort, so if you want something lighter and more manageable that's also easier on the wallet, you can consider the Ronin. If you're open to the idea of owning a Royal Enfield bike, then the Hunter 350 will also serve you well because it is smooth, comfortable and reliable.We recommend a thorough test ride of all machines you shortlist before you make your purchase.
